Purple Ronnie Books Blast Into Bestsellers List!

Four Purple Ronnie titles feature in latest Sunday Times list

Coolabi, the company that owns and licenses the Purple Ronnie brand, has announced that books from the UK’s most popular poet have stormed into the Sunday Times bestseller list, after huge sales leading up to Valentine’s Day.

A total of four Purple Ronnie titles from Macmillan appeared in the top ten on Sunday – ‘Little Book to Say I Love You Lots’, ‘World’s Best Boyfriend’, ‘Perfect Lover’, and ‘Little Book of Love’ – an astonishing number even when the brand’s huge popularity is taken into account; three more titles feature in the top hundred. The actual sales figures reveal a 20% increase on the same period last year.

It’s not just books where Purple Ronnie’s popularity is being felt – on the run up to Valentine’s Day, Tesco stocked a gift pack containing milk chocolate hearts from Beacon Confectionery and a specially produced edition of Purple Ronnie’s Little Guide for Lovers, whilst Clinton Cards offered a huge selection of merchandise, including cards, games, chocolate body pens and mugs.

Purple Ronnie cards are also available online courtesy of Hallmark’s new print-on-demand service, where visitors can personalise Purple Ronnie designs with their very own photos and messages. You can even send a Purple Ronnie card by mobile phone, using a specially designed app for the iPhone and iPhone Touch that allows users to create a fully personalised card that can be delivered straight to the lucky recipient’s inbox.

Purple Ronnie also has his own website - www.purpleronnie.com - where visitors can catch up on all the latest news and create their own Purple Ronnie character.
