Hammer Horror comes to a wall near you

Some of the most memorable artwork in British film history are available to own from Posters and Stuff who have taken a licence with Coolabi to produce a range of iconic Hammer Horror posters.

There are twelve posters in the series, each of them a reproduction of the original poster for one of Britain’s best-loved horror films. The series begins this year with The Curse of Frankenstein to mark the 50^th anniversary of Hammer Horror and ends in 2008 with Dracula to mark its 50^th anniversary.

The posters are litho printed in the UK on 170gsm paper and come in the original quad size of 30” x 40” which is seldom available in modern posters. Some of the posters are now so rare that Posters and Stuff had to go far and wide to find the originals.

Each title in the series has been scanned from an original poster at a very high resolution. They are then digitally restored. All the creases and fold marks are removed along with any other visible defects such as pin holes, tears, or dirty marks. This restoration process takes several days to complete, but once done the poster artwork is the same as when it was originally printed.

The posters have been available online and as part of a subscription offer in which subscribers get an additional poster free. Now they are about to be available at retail and expectation is high.
