Coolabi Plc (AIM:COO), the media company focused on the ownership and creative management of high quality intellectual property assets, announces that the popular classic children's series, Bagpuss, Clangers and Ivor the Engine are now available to download from iTunes.
Coolabi, the international licensing agent and distributor of the three series, which were created by Oliver Postgate and Peter Firmin and are owned by them and their families, has entered into an agreement on behalf of the rights owners with entertainment company E1 to make the original episodes of these three classic children's series available through iTunes. Success has been immediate as, within days of launching, the shows all went straight into the top 5 in the iTunes Store TV Programmes Kids Chart with five-star ratings.
Jeremy Banks, CEO of Coolabi, commented: "By tapping into the huge iTunes market with these classic and much loved brands, we can access both adult fans who remember the programmes from their childhood and kids who are discovering them for the first time. In addition, this deal enables us to expose these brands to international markets."
