Four Purple Ronnie titles in top ten bestsellers list following Valentine's Day success

Coolabi plc (AIM: COO), the media company focused on the ownership and creative management of high quality intellectual property assets, announces that four Purple Ronnie books reached the Sunday Times top ten bestseller list, after increased sales leading up to Valentine's Day.

A total of four Purple Ronnie titles from Macmillan appeared in the top ten published on 21 February - 'Little Book to Say I Love You Lots', 'World's Best Boyfriend', 'Perfect Lover', and 'Little Book of Love' - with three more titles appearing in the top hundred. Overall unit sales in the period were 20% higher than the same period last year.

It's not just books where Purple Ronnie's popularity is being felt - on the run up to Valentine's Day, Tesco stocked a gift pack containing milk chocolate hearts from Beacon Confectionery and a specially produced edition of Purple Ronnie's Little Guide for Lovers, whilst Clinton Cards offered a huge selection of merchandise, including cards, games, chocolate body pens and mugs.

Following the success of Hallmark's new online print-on-demand service for Purple Ronnie Valentine's Day cards, the service now also includes Purple Ronnie cards for all other occasions. Online customers can personalise Purple Ronnie designs with their very own photos and messages.

Furthermore, Coolabi has also developed an app for the iPhone and iPod Touch, whereby customers can even send a Purple Ronnie card by mobile phone".
