Disney Channel Worldwide invests in Coolabi's The Shaila Show

London, UK (22 November, 2007): Coolabi Productions Ltd, the television production division of Coolabi plc ('Coolabi' or the 'Company') (COO:L), today announced a development deal with Disney Channel Worldwide's Global Original Programming Division, which has optioned the rights to Coolabi property The Shaila Show (working title).

A live action comedy-drama mixed with animation, The Shaila Show is destined initially for the UK Disney Channel and is one of the first deals to be announced by Disney Channel's London based Global Original Programming hub. Established in April 2007, the hub drives forward the investment and development of live action and animation productions outside of North America, for both European and global distribution.

The deal follows Coolabi's recent acquisition of Indie Kids Ltd, the children's television production company responsible for a variety of hit shows including The Large Family and Fungus The Bogeyman for Cbeebies and BBC respectively and The Worst Witch for CiTV.
